2 November 2016Jeff E. Mortenson, 54, of Osceola, Iowa, formerly of Onawa, Iowa, died Friday, October 21, 2016 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hite Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Jeffrey Eugene Mortenson was born November 16, 1961 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Robert and Ruth (Clapper) Mortenson. He attended West Monona Community Schools in Onawa. He then became a client of Monona Services, now Crossroads of Western Iowa, and worked for them as a semi-truck driver.
He enjoyed collecting guns and working on his own vehicles.
Survivors include his siblings, Michael (Tiffany) Mortenson of Onawa, IA, Bobby (Trisha) Mortenson of Council Bluffs, IA, Danny Mortenson of Boise, ID, Billy (Briana) Mortenson of Flippin, AR, and Angela (Danny) Komarek of Onawa, IA, and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Mortenson; paternal grandparents, Art and Rose Trowbridge; and maternal grandparents, George and Josephine Clapper.
