Cecil F. Doty, 82, of Onawa, Iowa, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Per Cecil's wishes, memorial services will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Cecil Fay Doty was born April 7, 1934 in Bassett, Nebraska, the son of Glenn and Mabel (Beck) Doty. He grew up in Nebraska and Wyoming.

Cecil and Winifred Davis were united in marriage November 22, 1968 in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Cecil had various occupations throughout his life, and especially enjoyed the work he did while farming. He worked at Farmland Foods in Denison, Iowa for fifteen years until his retirement.

He enjoyed farming, photography, woodworking, gardening, and was very mechanically inclined. A favorite hobby was working with his CB radio. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as an elder and teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred Doty of Onawa, IA; eight children, Kay Kluver of Sioux City, IA, Anna (Tom) Hime of Onawa, IA, Chrystal (Steve) Cloud of Sioux City, IA, Jacquelyne Potter of Indiana, Jenell O'Conner of Onawa, IA, Jim (Betty) Kluver of Sioux City, IA, Mark (Pam) Kluver of Danbury, IA, and Jeremy (Megan) Doty of Danbury, IA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter; three siblings, Joann (Jim) Drinkle of Green River, WY, Richard (Roseanne) Doty of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Linda Doty of Green River, WY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mabel Doty; brother, Larry Doty; a son, Levi Earl Berman; and a daughter, Billie Jo Doty.
