19 June 1986Mabel B. Bryceson, 80, Moorhead, Iowa, died June 7, 1986, at her home in Moorhead.
She was born September, 1905, in Monona County, Iowa to Ole A. and Mary (Baker) Rude. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She taught school in Little Rock and Rock Rapids for a number of years before her marriage to Roy Bryceson on December 23, 1955, in Luverne, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Moorhead after their marriage. He died January 28, 1965.
She was a member of the Moorhead Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Harlan (Beverly) Mills of Plymouth, Minnesota, two sisters, Mrs. John (Mildred) Humes and Mrs. Vernon (Harriette) Watson, both of Macomb, Illinois, six step-grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, three sisters and one step daughter.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 1986, at the Christian Church, Moorhead, Iowa, with Rev. John McGee officiating. The organist was Mrs. Charles Kratz and the congregation sang, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Nearer My God To Thee.”
Casket bearers were Bob Determan, Juhl Hansen, Martin Cline, John Iversen, Norman Hanson and John Moorhead.
Interment was in the Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
