Francis "Frank" Paul Hinkel, 55, of Onawa, Iowa died Monday, May 30, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis, officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Francis Paul was born November 6, 1960 in Fremont, Nebraska the son of Gene and Pauline (Mincey) Hedges. He grew up in Omaha and graduated from Benson High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

Frank owned and operated "Hinkel Home Improvement" in Omaha, Nebraska for many years. For the past seventeen years he was a rural mail carrier.

Survivors include his father, Gene Hedges of Onawa, IA; sister, Kristi Umshler of Omaha, NE; brother, Darrin (Michelle) Hedges of Bellevue, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline (Mincey) Hedges; brother, Jeff Hinkel; and brother-in-law, Mike Umshler.
