Elmer Elsworth Adams, son of Albin and Jane Adams was born in Floyd County, Iowa, on Feb. 12, 1863 and died at the St. Josephs’ hospital in Sioux City on Saturday, August 28, 1942 at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 17 days.
He was married to Miss Alice Bunney on Dec. 7, 1886 at Charles City, Iowa. To this union one daughter and two sons were born. He had made his home in Monona County for the past 35 years.
He is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Marion Cole, two sons Harvey and Vivian; two brothers Milton of Minnesota, and Rollo of Mason City, lowa, two grandsons, Louis and James Cole, and one great granddaughter, Jeanine Cole.
The wife having preceded him in death, on February 8, 1921. Funeral services were held at the Cheney Funeral Home, Rev. B. A. Gunn officiating and burial was made in the Onawa cemetery.
