EARLY MONONA RESIDENT DIED AT SOUTH SIOUX CITY

William Henry Roberts, 81, South Sioux City farmer, died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a long sickness. Mr. Robert had farmed in the vicinity of South Sioux City for more than 24 years.

He was born in Lovilla, la. November 8, 1854. On September 16, 1875 at Marysville, lowa he married Harriet Eggleston. The couple lived in Monona County for more than 25 years. In 1912 Mr. and Mrs. Roberts moved to South Sioux City. He united with the Christian church about 7 years ago, living a Christian life and studied the Bible faithfully from that time, discerning the truth and the way of life revealed therein.

Funeral services were held at the Brown Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and burial was in the Onawa cemetery, Rev. Humphrey having charge of the services.

Surviving are the widow; eight daughters Mrs. Dave Fegenbush of Sloan, Mrs. Fred Dunagan of Castana, Mrs. Charles Fegenbush of Homer, Nebr. Mrs. A. L. Falk of Lincoln. Neb., Mrs. Charles Stansbury of Walthill and Mrs. Claude Jivlden, Mrs. William Collett and Mrs. L. G. Fairchild, all of Onawa; four sons Al Roberts of Moorhead, John Roberts and Orville Roberts both of Sioux City and Dick Roberts of LeMars. There also are 50 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
