FORMER RESIDENT HERE BURIED AT BLOOMFIELD, NEBRASKA

Funeral services, for James Baker 80 years old, Bloomfield, Neb., father of two Sioux City men, Edward R. Baker and William H. Baker were held Monday afternoon in the St. Mark's Lutheran church at Bloomfield.

Interment was in the Bloomfield cemetery. The Bloomfield lodge 218 A. F. and A. M. had charge of the services at the grave. Mr. Baker's six sons acted as pallbearers.

Mr. Baker had resided in Bloomfield since 1902. He retired from farming in 1909. He was born on the island of Phemen, Germany and came to the United States when 16 years old, settling at Davenport. In 1870 he moved to Grinnell where he married Miss Elizabeth Franciseus in 1873.

He moved to Monona County in 1894.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Gertrude Donahue of Harlan, la.; Mrs. Soren Rounsborg of Turin, Ia., and Mrs. Mabel Hoermer of Bloomfield and the six sons Peter W. of Rodney, la.; George of Onawa, Ia., Nick of Bloomfield, Charles of Wayne Nebr., and Edward and Wayne of Sioux City.
