FORMER RESIDENT HERE DIES AT BLOOMINGTON

Mrs. Fred C. Smith, 74 a former resident of this city, died at her home at Bloomington, Ill., at 2 p. m Sunday. She had been seriously ill a week and prior to that time had been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Smith had lived in Bloomington the last 48 years with the exception of the time spent in Onawa. She is survived by the following children: Harry Smith of Bloomington, Mrs. G. A. Teneick of Chicago, and Miss Hazel Smith, assistant superintendent of the Illinois Free Employment agency of Bloomington, one sister Mrs. Mollie Lebey of Bloomington.

There are seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Mrs. Smith's husband died two years ago. The funeral was held at 10 o'clock at the Goodfellow funeral home Tuesday with Rev. Wheaton, officiating. The Smith's formerly resided here, he having charge of a cigar store which was in the building now occupied by the Gray Bonnet Shop.
