Jennie Cameron was born April 26, 1861 at Marion, Linn County, Iowa. She grew to womanhood surrounded by her father, Samuel T. Cameron, her mother, Sarah Rice Cameron and ten brothers and sisters. Of these there are three brothers, David, Mark and William and one sister Mrs. Cora E. Hand to mourn her death.

The family came to Monona county Iowa in 1867. She was united in marriage with Windsor W. Martin August 27, 1884 to which union two daughters were born Winifred A and Laura L. the latter precede her mother to rest in 1911.

She united with the Christian church at Onawa in 1902 and was a faithful member until Dec. 3, 1932 when she received the call of the Master, at her home in Onawa, living to the age of 71 years, 7 months and 7 days.

She has been a good mother and neighbor and loved by all who knew her. Her many friends mourn her departure as well as her immediate family.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o’clock at the Brown Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Orval E. Walker.
