Allen A Clodfelter aged 71 years passed away at his home in southwest Onawa Thursday morning Dec. 1st following an illness of about a week. Mr. Clodfelter was a native of Illinois having been born at Centralia, but came to Onawa and settled on the farm now owned by Chas. years ago. In about 1909 he purchased the farm now occupied by the John Reynolds in the same neighborhood west of Onawa and lived there until he retired, and moved to Onawa where he has passed the declining years of his life with his faithful companion of many years. Mr. and Mrs. Clodfelter were the parents of a daughter Mary, Mrs. Mike Marley of Blencoe and a son Wilbur Clodfelter of Los Angeles.

Mr. Clodfelter was known as a kindly man, best appreciated by those in closest contact with him. His old neighbors speak of him as a wonderful man, always quiet and unassuming, yet a forceful character among men.

Funeral services were conducted at the Catholic Church by Rev P. P. Goeren and burial was in the Onawa cemetery. Mrs. Clodfelter is being comforted in her bereavement by the presence of her brother John Tunny and son and daughter of Bloomington, Ill. and her sister of Colorado Springs.
