Inga Guinda Wilt was born in Soldier, Iowa, on January 27, 1890, and passed from this life on August 19, 1985. Death came in the Pleasant View Nursing Home where she had made her home for the past 7 years. She had reached the age of 95 years.

On March 28, 1911, she was united in marriage with Herman Wilt in Whiting, he preceded her in death on March 19, 1944.

She was a lifetime resident of Monona County coming to Whiting with her parents, Eric and Andrena Anderson Hoff, as a young girl. Early in life she accepted the Christ as her Savior and was united with Church of Christ in Whiting. She was a faithful member of the church. While living in Onawa in Center Heights for 8 years, she was very faithful in attendance at the First Christian Church. For the past 7 years in Pleasant View she could always be found in the worship services of the Home. She was a member of the Dorcas Society of the church and also a member of the Royal Neighbors of Whiting.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Wade) Foster of Whiting, three grandchildren, Karen Anderson of Whiting, Priscille Cox of Castana and Eddie Foster of Grand Island, Nebr., fourteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Her husband, three sons in infancy, two brothers, Clarence and Eddie and a sister, Josephine preceded her in death.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 1985, at the Church of Christ at Whiting, with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Mrs. Arnold Brenden, the organist, played “Bring in the Sheaves” and “Little Brown Church in the Vale”.

Bearers were Clifford Cox, Ryan Cox, Richard Anderson, Rod Anderson, Wayne Bakke and Tim Butt.

Interment was in Harrison Cemetery at Whiting with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
