Graveside funeral services for Marcielle A. Ploof, age 70, of Onawa, Iowa, were held at the Onawa Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 1999, with Pastor Donald Ludwick officiating.

Mrs. Ploof died Thursday, December 31, 1998, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

She was born May 13, 1928, at Berwyn, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul Leonard and Ella Dina (Fisher) Russell. She attended school in Glenwood, Iowa. On October 7, 1955, she married John Walter Ploof at Yuma, Arizona. The couple came to Onawa in 1984. Mr. Ploof died December 15, 1995, in Onawa.

She is survived by two brothers and their wives, Elgie Russell and Joylene of Denison, Iowa and Glenn Gibson and Joan of Omaha, NE, and four sisters, Fern Bartusik and husband John of Oglalla, NE, Lillian Abramson of Omaha, NE, Betty Starr of LaPuento, CA and Shirley Lidgett and husband Jack of Omaha, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and one brother, Wm. Robert Gibson.
