ONAWA, Iowa — Helen M. Hendricks, 92, of Onawa died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Onawa City Cemetery, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mrs. Hendricks was born March 28, 1906, in Turin, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Faye (Maxwell) Stanton. She graduated from Blencoe (Iowa) Consolidated High School in 1925.

She married John K. Hendricks on July 21, 1927, in Onawa. The couple lived in Blencoe until moving to rural Onawa in 1949. He died Aug. 21, 1955, in Onawa.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Onawa.

Survivors include a daughter, Faye Cartmill of Lincoln, Neb,; two sons, John of Onawa and Ralph and his wife, Alice, of Mount Vernon, Wash.; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Lindley of Onawa; and a sister-in-law, Louise Stanton of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex and George Stanton; and eight sisters, Fern Perkins, Faye Stanton, Myra Henneous, Lenore Ooten, Bessie Farwell, Hazel Stewart, Mary Stanton and Doris Stanton.
