ONAWA, Iowa — Daryl Ray Larson, 50, of Onawa, died Sunday, Oct. 4 , 1998, at Onawa.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the. First Congregational Church in Onawa with the Rev. Alta M. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mr. Larson was born Jan. 16, 1948, at Onawa, the son of Willard "Bud" and Eunice (Sorenson) Larson. He graduated from West Monona High School in 1967.

In the early 1970s, he started a retail/clothes business and beauty shop in Missouri Valley, Iowa. After selling those two business, he started a consulting business which began his involvement with Paul Meyer Leadership Management Inc. the late 1970's he began working in their corporate office in Texas.

He moved to Sioux City in 1989, and returned to Onawa in 1994. He began managing the Onawa Country Club in December 1995 and gained the lease in 1996.

He was a member of First Congregational Church in Onawa.

Survivors include his mother, Eunice Larson, of Onawa; a son and his wife, Donavan and Amanda Larson of Waco, Texas; his special friend, Debbie Boynton of Onawa; two brothers and their wives, Larry and Janet Larson of Kansas City, Mo., and Leon and Carol Larson of Onawa; a sister and her husband, Kathleen and Marlin Dugdale of Modale, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Megan.

He was preceded in death by his father.
