Alice B. Jones, 81, of Sioux City died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998 at a Sioux City hospital.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Onawa Cemetery in Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be noon to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born April 11, 1917 in Bradshaw, Neb., the daughter of Marian and Iva McClure. She was raised in the Lincoln, Neb. area and moved to South Sioux City in 1940 and to Sioux City in 1960.

She married William "Mac" Jones on Sept. 2, 1936 in Omaha, Neb. She was a dental assistant in her husband's dental office for many years. He died Dec. 22, 1976 in Sioux City.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Steve of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Shaun, Amy and Jascin Holcomb; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Lee Holcomb; one brother, William and one sister, Margaret Esau.
