ONAWA, Iowa — Larry "Deanie" Brown, 57, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Onawa, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown from complications of multiple schlerosis.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Onawa City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mr. Brown was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Sioux City, the son of Walter W. and Vella A. (Birk) Brown. He attended Onawa High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1964. He then farmed near Onawa. He entered Veterans Administration Hospital in Marshalltown in August 1984. He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Charles Sr. and Cathy of Onawa; a nephew, Charles Jr.; a niece, Melissa Brown; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
