Norman W. Johnson, 63, of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of Whiting, Iowa, died Monday, October 4, 1999, in Norman.

Norman was born September 20, 1936, in West Fork Township, Monona County, Iowa, rural Whiting the son of Raymond E. and Inez L. (Harding) Johnson. He graduated from Whiting High School. On November 27, 1957, he married Janice Leona Richardson in Whiting. In 1958 the couple moved to California where they lived for 25 years before moving to Oklahoma 16 years ago. Mrs. Johnson died April 6, 1992, in Oklahoma. On May 26, 1995, he married Montez Clark in Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Montez of Noble, Oklahoma; two sons, Michael Johnson and his wife, Darcy, of Livermore, CA and Patrick Johnson of Norman, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Mike and Christopher Johnson; 3 brothers, Ernest McKeown of Iowa, Gene McKeown of California, and Kenny Johnson of Iowa; a step-daughter; 3 step-sons; and 10 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Janice; 4 brothers; and 6 sisters.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 8, 1999, at the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa, with Shawn Walden, Minister, officiating. The organist was Mrs. Jack Jordan and the soloist, Mrs. Shawn Walden, sang the selections, "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross".

Honorary Bearers were Jason Richardson, Rob Wicks, Don Palmer, Herb Tootie, Bob Koopman, and Donnie Palmer.

Casket-Bearers were Mike Foutch, Steve Richardson, Ernie McKeown, Kenny Johnson, Milt Tenopir, and Jeff Lynch.

Interment was in Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
