SLOAN, Iowa — Retta Reinbold, 82, of Sloan died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Sloan with the Rev. Emery Killian officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.
Mrs. Reinbold was born June 15, 1915, on a farm near Moville, Iowa, the daughter of William and Cora (Vleshduboise) Grootewal. She lived near Moville and in surrounding communities.
She married Ray Reinbold on March 14, 1953, in Reno, Nev. The couple owned and operated R & R Cafe and Reinbold Trucking in Mapleton. He died in 1976. She moved to Sloan and had resided there for the last 20 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and active in the Senior Citizens program, TOPS, and Card Club.
She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include two sisters, her twin, Rena Fegenbush of Sloan and Pat Buckholz of Las Vegas; and a niece and nephew, Keith and Connie Shellhammer of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Ferdig and Wilma Fasalo.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Sloan.
