Nadine P. Rowland age 89 of Valley, NE formerly Newcastle, NE passed away Monday June 30, 2014 at her home at Orchard Gardens in Valley, NE. Nadine was born July 16, 1924 at Turin, IA to Leonard and Gertie (Givens) Crosgrove.

She grew up in Turin and was a graduate of Onawa High School in Onawa, IA. Nadine married Earl Rowland Jan. 12, 1944 at Onawa. They moved to Newcastle, NE in 1957 and farmed there for 27 years. Earl preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2003. In 2006 she moved to Cedar Rapids, IA and in 2008 to Valley, NE.

Nadine was a member of the Congregational church U.C.C. and Rebecca Lodge Order of Eastern Star both in Newcastle, NE.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl, daughter, Fay Elsie Rowland; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors include her son Craig Rowland and wife Mary of Omaha, NE; daughter, Cheryl Draheim of Fremont, NE 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N. Somers Ave. in Fremont, NE 68025. The Rev. Gary Kimm of the Congregational Church U.C.C. in Newcastle, NE will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9AM until service time all at Moser's.

Burial will be at Belvedere Cemetery in Turin, IA at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Congregational Church U.C.C. in Newcastle, NE.
