Martha L. Werling, 81, of Whiting, Iowa died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her home.

Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Burns, officiating. Following the graveside service, a time of fellowship and luncheon will be held at the Onawa Methodist Church, 1107 13th Street Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Martha Louise was born July 22, 1933 near Whiting, Iowa the daughter of Alfred F. and Pauline A. (Downey) Collison. She graduated from Onawa High School, Onawa, Iowa. Martha worked for North Western Bell Telephone as an operator. She also worked at Farmer's Coop in Onawa and helped in all aspects of the business.

Martha married James "Jerry" Werling and made their home in Whiting, Iowa.

Martha was of the Methodist faith and attended the Onawa Methodist Church, Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include three sisters; one brother; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one sister.
