ONAWA, Iowa - Evelyn Mae Troth McNutt, 91, of Onawa died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at the Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa. Burial will be in Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. McNutt was born Feb. 7, 1907, in Whiting, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Ada (Rhodes) Homer. She attended area schools.

She married Warren Troth on Sept. 15, 1924, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He died May 15, 1973, in Onawa. She was a homemaker and had been employed as a waitress in restaurants. She worked in a nursing home briefly and was a domestic housekeeper.

She then married Athol McNutt on April 19, 1977, in Deloit, Iowa. He died July 20, 1982, in Onawa. She had been a resident of Center Heights in Onawa, before entering Elmwood Care Centre.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Audrey and Gayle Sisson of Goldfield, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Homer of Riverbank, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley; a great-grandson; and three brothers, Earl, Bruce and Arthell.
