ONAWA, Iowa - Darrell Franklin McCall, 62, of Stockton, Calif., died Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services were held in California Thursday, Aug. 20, at Park View Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mr. McCall was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Castana, the son of Frank and Emma (Jenkins) McCall. He moved to California in 1960, after serving in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed for many years in the auto body repair business.

He married Margie Taylor on Aug. 25, 1989.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter and her husband, Darcy and Kirk Schulte of Sioux City; six stepchildren, Ed and Richard Gonzales, Tracy Bray, William, Henley and Martin Chapman, all of California; his mother of Onawa; a brother and his wife, Cleo and Shirley of Willingboro, N.J.; a sister, Norma Harris of Santa Clara, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Suellen McCall of Killeen, Texas; three grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Donald.
