Della B. Mann, 76, of Onawa, Iowa, died Thursday, January 16, 1997, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.

Della was born January 8, 1921, in rural Moorhead, Iowa, the daughter of George A. and Jennie A. (Frisk) Conyers. She graduated from Onawa High School. On July 29, 1944, she married Virgil Mann in Onawa. The couple made their home in Mapleton and Soldier before moving to Onawa in 1957. She had been a telephone operator, worked at the Council Oak Store in Onawa, a waitress at the Co-op Cafe in Onawa, Arnold Simmons Grocery Store in Onawa, and a clerk at the Golden Rule Store in Onawa.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Onawa.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil; a daughter and her husband, Elaine and Jerry Shaffer of Onawa; a grandson, Greg Shaffer of Onawa: 3 brothers, Jack and his wife, Lillie Conyers and Albert Conyers, all of Onawa, and Bert and his wife, Betty Conyers of Moville, Iowa; 3 sisters, Mary Anderson of Whiting, Iowa, Ruth Harris of Onawa, Iowa, and Doris and her husband Lloyd McCall of Sioux City, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Everett Conyers; a sister-in-law, Alberta Conyers; and 2 brothers-in-law, Bill Anderson and Paul Harris.

Funeral Services were at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 1997, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Randy Coffin officiating. The Music Selections were "One Day At A Time" and "The Old Rugged Cross".

Casket Bearers were Charles Bentley, Kevin Hall, Phil Niles, Ken Wingert, Dana Kirby, Leonard Miller, Charles Bringle, and David Sick.

Interment was in the Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home,
