U1E, Iowa — Dorothy M. Eller, 78, of Ute died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Due to the weather conditions, services were rescheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Ute Christian Church, with the Rev. Mark Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Clair Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Mrs. Eller was born Oct. 24, 1920, in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Eunice (Downing) Johnson.

She married DeWayne Eller on June 17, 1958. She operated a cafe in Soldier, Iowa, for several years and was employed as a cashier for National Foods in Sioux City.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Larry and Jean Crosgrove, of Ute; three daughters, Joann Sanders and her companion, Ramon Choquette of Sioux City, Lynda and her husband, Allan Chartier of Omaha, Neb., and Donna and her husband, Dave Kritzer of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Fauneal Crum of Onawa, Iowa; two brothers, Arvid and Daryl, both of Onawa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Loren, Harold and Edward in infancy; a daughter and son-in-law, Galene and Paul Haage.

Memorials may be directed to Levitt Center at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.

Pallbearers will be Dale, Kelly and Don Johnson, Byron Kruse, Rocky DeWitt and Glenn Moell.
