Charles W. Nathlich, 81, of Sioux City was found dead from natural causes Thursday, July 31, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa with the Rev. James McIntosh officiating. Burial, with a flag presentation by the American Legion Loren Hollister Post 496 of Mapleton, will be in St. Clair Cemetery in Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Nathlich was born July 31, 1916, in Ute, the son of William and Nora (Palmer) Nathlich. He was raised and educated in the Ute area. He moved to Sioux City and served in World War II with the United States Army. After his service he returned to Sioux City where he was employed as a truck driver.

Survivors include a sister, Beulah Hafitts of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
