UTE, Iowa — Amanda Jo Christiansen, 17, of Ute died Thursday, July 3, 1997, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Charter Oak-Ute High School in Charter Oak, Iowa, with the Rev. Don Frizzell officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Miss Christiansen was born May 4, 1980, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Allan and Chris (McColley) Christiansen. She lived with her family in Little Sioux, Iowa before moving to Athens, Texas, where she attended kindergarten and first grade. In 1987, she moved with her family to Ute, where she continued her education at the Charter Oak-Ute Community School. She was currently a member of the Senior High School Class of 1998. She was employed part time at the Dunlap Nursing Home and previously at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Onawa and the Q.A.T. in Soldier, Iowa.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in Ute.

Survivors include her parents; a sister, Brittany Christiansen at home; paternal grandparents, Henry Jr. "Hank" and Darlene Christiansen of Ute; maternal grandparents, Martin and Wanda McColley of Little Sioux, Iowa; paternal great-grandmother, Ellen Hopkins of Mapleton, Iowa; and maternal great-grandmother, Bernice McColley of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
