Ruby Lillian Prior died May 31, 1988 in a Des Moines, Iowa hospital after a short illness due to a stroke. She was born April 17, 1910, at Steedman, Calloway County, Mo., to Thomas D. and Rose Etta Rose Hall.

She attended schools at Castana and Blencoe, Iowa and Fulton, Mo. In May, 1927, she married Trevor Seymour and to this union four children were born. They live in the Glidden area.

In August, 1940, Ruby married Don Prior and they resided at Hartford Iowa for over 30 years. Don passed away in November 1986.

Ruby was an employee of the downtown Des Moines Woolworth's store for 20 years and retired from there 13 years ago.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Norma Jean) McCoon and Mrs. James (Doris) Rounds both of Colorado Springs, Colo., four step-sons, Dennis Prior, Glendale, Ariz., Arthur Prior, St. Mary's, Ga., Wayne Prior, Oak Harbor, Wa., and Wallace Prior, Imola, Ca., nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, two sisters, Ima Collison, Blencoe, and Alta Young, Blair, Neb., also many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by two children, her parents, six brothers, six sisters, and her husband Don. Memorial services were held June 4 at the Richardson Funeral Home, Carlisle, Iowa with burial in the Hartford Cemetery.
