MAPLETON, Iowa — Kathee Price, 48, of Mapleton died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Burgess Health Care Center in Onawa, Iowa after being stricken with a heart attack at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Kathee Sue Price was born Aug. 6, 1955, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Connie (Dean) Rubendall. She grew up in the Sloan, Iowa and Sioux City area before moving to Mapleton. She attended Maple Valley High School, where she graduated with the class of 1974.

She was united in marriage to Mike Price at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton, on Aug. 10, 1974. The couple made their home in Mapleton and to this union a daughter and son were born. She worked at the Mapleton Press, Direct Transit, Irving F. Jensen, Anderson Construction and was currently a buyer for P.A. Braunger Company.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, where she worked for a time as the church secretary, and a member of the Abu Bekr Ladies.

She loved to ride motorcycles with her husband and was devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed the time she could share with her granddaughter.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 29 years, Mike; a daughter and her husband, Caree and Mike Olson of Mapleton; a son, Corey Price of Mapleton; a granddaughter, Rylee Olson; her mother, Connie Moat of Sioux City; a brother, Kim; and several relatives neighbors and many good friends.
