11 July 2002Arthur S. Price, 84, died Monday, July 1, 2002 at Risen Son Christian Village, in Council Bluffs.
Arthur as born on June 20, 1918 to John E. and Lillie M. (Adair) Price at Onawa, Iowa. He resided in Onawa until moving to Council Bluffs in 1955. On March 8, 1941 he was united in marriage to Lillian 0. Swenson at Onawa, Iowa. He was a Pacific Intermountain Express dock worker for 20 years retiring in 1979. Arthur was a member of Southside Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnita Smith and Janice and her husband, Jimmy L. Aldredge all of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his eleven brothers and sisters, his wife Lillian on March 14, 2002, and a grandson, Craig Palmer.
Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2002 at Cutler-O'Neill Funeral Chapel with Chaplain. Paul Crane of Risen Son Christian Village officiating.
Interment was in Ridgewood Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Southside Christian Church in Council Bluffs. Memorials may be offered to the family.
