Earl Jr. Kellogg, 82, of Onawa, Iowa formerly of Mapleton, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Darren Goslar, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Earl Jr. was born on October 29, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Earl Levi and Leoma "Peggy" (Gregg) Kellogg. He served in the U.S. Army from May 22, 1952 thru May 7, 1954.

Earl Jr. and Eilene M. Gries were united in marriage on June 16, 1956 in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple had one daughter, Tracy. Eilene passed away January 16, 2008 in Mapleton, Iowa.

He was employed with Divided Gas Station, Kelly Gas Station, Mercy Medical Center, and as a cab driver.

He was an avid bowler and also loved to fish and play cards.

Earl and Eilene are now dancing in Heaven.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy (Pete) Christophersen of Sioux City, Iowa; his grandson, Lane Christophersen of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters, Bernice Ballantyne of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Sherrie Starin of Denison, Texas; and special people, Tony (Sandy) Davis and Kevin (Jennifer) Goslar all of Mapleton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eilene "Red Head"; parents, Earl and Leoma; an infant brother, Larry; and two sisters, Judy Tighe and Lucille Knutson.
