Louis B. Mills, 92, of Onawa died Friday, April 27, 2001, at the Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Mr. Mills was born on August 31, 1908 in Lincoln, NE. the son of Lawrence and Maude (Gable) Mills. He graduated from Bancroft, NE. High School and married Anna Ruth Hall on September 30, 1929 in Wahoo, NE. The couple farmed at Prague, NE before coming to Onawa in 1945 where he worked for the United States Army Corp of Engineers until retiring in 1972. Mrs. Mills died on January 11, 1997 at Onawa.

Louie was known as the bicycle repairman in Onawa. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Onawa.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Ed and Rowena Mills of Melcher, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Gerry Mills of Marion, KS.; a son-in-law, Lymon Williams of Gentry, AR.; eleven grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Mills of Lincoln, NE., Robert Mills of Ceres, CA, and Rolland and his wife, Catalina of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anna Ruth, a sister, Nettie Mildred, son, Lee, and daughter, Katherine.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2001, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Donald R. Ludwick officiating. The organist was Mrs. Jack Jordan and the taped selections were "In The Garden" and "Abide With Me".

Casket Bearers were Jay Williams, De1ton Williams, Louis Mills, Russell Mills, Timothy Mills, and Randy Fornshell.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
