William Franklin (Frank) Wimer, age 88 of Ute, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Arbor Manor Nursing Home in Fremont, Nebraska.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The body was cremated.
Frank was born July 26, 1912, in Ute, Iowa, to William and Lizzie (Larsen) Wimer. He married Trace Bergerson on July 15, 1939. She preceded him in death on November 12, 1985.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen and his wife, Janet Wimer and David and his wife, Karen Wimer, both of Fremont, Nebraska; two daughters, JoAnn and her husband, Irvin Thies of Mapleton, Iowa and Verneal "Bunny" Traver of Glenwood, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers, Leonard and Walt, and two sisters, Opal and Genevieve, also preceded him in death.
