MAPLETON, Iowa — Special: Mrs. Fred Uhl, 85, Mapleton died Thursday evening at a Sioux City hospita1.

She was born in Mapleton and lived in the area all her life. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church here.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Sam Anderson of Mapleton; three sons Melvin of Hornick, and Leonard and Orville, both of Mapleton.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. A. H. Ocken will officiate. Walter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
