15 January 1945SERVICES TUESDAY AT ONAWA FOR W. L. PETERSON, BLENCOE
Onawa, Ia. — Special: Funeral services for Walter L. Peterson, 33, Blencoe, Ia., farmer, who died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after suffering a skull fracture January 6 when struck by a truck on highway 75, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Christian church at Onawa. Rev. M. C. Miller of Sloan, and Rev. M. L. Bailey of Onawa, will officate.
Burial will be in the Onawa cemetery under direction of the Pearson funeral home of Onawa, where the body was taken Saturday.
Mr. Peterson was born February 23, 1911, at Castana, Ia. He spent his life in the Castana and Blencoe communities.
Survivors include his widow, a 4-year-old son, Walter jr.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ludvig Peterson, Castana; three sisters, Mrs. William Carroll of Blencoe; Mrs. Raleigh Eller of Whiting, and Mrs. Eldon Gaskin of Compton, Cal., and five brothers, Delmer and Harry, both of Castana, Martin of Hornick, Alfred in the army overseas, and Edward, address not known
