Lana L. (Leisinger) Huss, 52

Holstein, IA - Lana L. (Leisinger) Huss died Saturday, September 2011, at Cherokee, Iowa. Private family services have been held.

Lana Louise Leisinger) Huss was born June 26, 1959, at Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Fed and Bert (Webb) Leisinger. She was raised in Mapleton and graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1977.

Lana and Kevin Huss were united in marriage November 12, 1977 at Midway Lutheran Church in rural Battle Creek, Iowa. They divorced after many years. The couple had three children.

Lana worked at various jobs but loved being a pharmacy tech for many years.

Lana loved to sew, make cakes, dance, fish, and was an avid softball player. She just loved to be around people and could make friends anywhere. Most of all she loved her family and Steve.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Kjolhede of Omaha, NE; two sons, Jason (Carey) Huss of Kansas and Josh (Jess) Huss of Storm Lake, IA; six grandchildren, Landon and Gavin Kjolhede, Brooke and Brenden Huss, and Jack and Jude Huss; a sister Linda Wimmer and her husband, Mike of Bonne Terre, MO; and a special friend, Steve of Holstein, IA.

She was preceded in death her parents, Fred and Bert Leisinger; and her grandparents, Grace and Louis Leisinger and Ellie and Barney Mohrhauser.
