Arthur Benjamin Brenden was born into this world on Jan. 28, 2012, at St. Luke’s in Sioux City, the son of Caleb Arthur and Rose (Haines) Brenden. He was brought to his first home in Moville, Iowa. The young family moved to Mapleton in the spring of 2013.
With the face of an angel and the loving trusting soul of a child, Arthur brought true joy to his family and all that shared in his life. Like his daddy, he loved to be outdoors. He also loved to color and do his crafts as well as play with his grandma’s I-pad, which, at times, she laughingly would have to work to get it back. Arthur eagerly danced to his favorite songs and videos whether at home or rocking out in his car seat. He loved bright colors and was able to share his brightness with his laughter, joy, and loving spirit.
Family members left to embrace their cherished days with Arthur are his parents, Caleb and Rose; his 6-month old baby sister, Lily; his paternal grandparents, Clayton and Paula Kluver of Smithland, Iowa; four paternal great-grandmothers, Dorothy Reed of Castana, Iowa, Lourine Kluver of Mapleton, Melva Wanamaker of Mapleton, and Nancy Brenden of Whiting, Iowa; his maternal grandparents, John and Lori Russom of Moville, and Judy Haines of Edge Water Park, N.J.; his maternal great-grandparents, John and Eileen Russom of Edge Water Park, Susan Barrel of Delanco, N.J., and Diane and Mike Nickolaus of South Sioux City; his aunt, Rebekah Russom of Moville; his uncles, Benjamin Russom of Edge Water Park, James and Karen Brenden of Ames, Iowa, and Luke and Sara Brenden of Bellvue, Neb. and their families, Arthur’s cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Brenden; two paternal great-grandfathers, Paul Reed and Roy Kluver; and an uncle, Matthew Kluver.
