HOLD LAST RITES OF UTE POSTMASTER

UTE: Funeral services were held Wednesday (yesterday) at St. Mary's Catholic church here for J. Porter Dorothy, 65 postmaster and lifelong resident of this community. He passed away Sunday at a Sioux City hospital.

Rev. Faher Nemers of Charter Oak officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Dorothy was born August 17, 1885 at Ute, the son of Edward Perry and Phoebe (Booher) Dorothy. Survivors include the widow, Grace Margaret (Winter) Dorothy, two sons Robert of Baltimore, Maryland, and Joseph of Riverdale, Maine; and a daughter Mrs. Mary Margaret Niemann of Alexandria, Virginia.
