Ron was born August 24, 1950 in Onawa, Iowa to Donald and Gilma ‘Harris’ Hall. He was raised in Onawa and graduated from high school in 1968. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1969 to 1973, spending part of the time in Vietnam and earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star and the Combat Action Ribbon. On August 14, 1971 Ron was married to Mary Matt in Danbury, Iowa. After his military service Ron worked for Zenith in Sioux City, Iowa. He then moved to West Point in 1979, and began working for IBP. Ron moved to Scribner in 1981 and continued to work at IBP until 2006. He then worked for Kerry Industries and Natura Pet Products in Fremont until his health forced him to retire in 2012. Ron was a Amateur Radio Operator.

Survivors:
Wife – Mary of Scribner
Daughter – Kari and husband Bill Athey of Pender
Son – Jason and wife Celina Hall of West Point
Sister- Caroline Morrow of Onawa, Iowa
4 grandchildren

The family will receive friends at Ludvigsen’s Scribner Funeral Chapel on Friday July 5th from 6pm to 8pm. There will be no further services at this time.
