Word has been received of the death of Violet Turnipseed-Kaiser. She passed away August 28, 1987, in Omaha, Nebr., where she resided. She is survived by her husband, Arthur E., of 2453 N. 88, Omaha, Nebr. 68134, children, grandchildren, and brothers and sisters.

Violet was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Whitlock) Turnipseed and she attended first grade at Turin and later came to Onawa. After the death of both of her parents, the children were taken by relatives and friends. The parents’ deaths were two weeks apart. Violet went to live with her grandparents in Alliance, Nebr., where she graduated from high school in 1933.

All who attended the fiftieth class reunion of the Onawa High School in May of 1983 were happy to have Violet in attendance also. She was so happy to have been invited.
