IVA M. KNUTZEN

Iva M. Knutzen, 84, of Ute, Iowa, died Saturday, November 21st in a Sioux City hospital.

Mrs. Knutzen, the former Iva Ehlers, was born February 28, 1903, in Harrison County. She attended Normal Training School at Carroll and taught rural school for one year west of Dunlap and at Soldier Rural 6 for six years. She married William Knutzen, January 2, 1929, in Ute. The couple farmed eight miles southeast of Ute.

Mrs. Knutzen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and past member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member of Lucky 13 Club.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Ruth) Seieroe of Ute; a brother, Raymond of Council Bluffs; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 25th, 1987, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ute with Vicar Michael Awe officiating. Burial was in the St. Clair Cemetery with Walter Funeral Home of Ute in charge of arrangements.
