HAZEL MARIE KING

Hazel Marie King, 83, lifetime resident of Mondamin, Iowa, died Sunday, September 6, 1987, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha after a brief illness.

She was born November 14, 1903, on the family farm near Mondamin, Iowa, to Charles and Mae (Heggan) Clinkenbeard. She graduated from Mondamin High School in May 1922 and on August 11, 1926 she married Lawrence Addison King in Council Bluffs. He died March 13, 1986, in Omaha.

She was a member of the Mondamin Christian Church and Elmdale Social Club.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Mary King of Mondamin; three grandsons and one granddaughter; three great grandsons and one great granddaughter; and one brother, Dale Clinckenbeard of Mondamin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Jesse; and one half-sister, Ruth Rash.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 1987, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel at Onawa, Iowa, with Elder John Lizer officiating. The organist, Mrs. Royl Roden, played “How Great Thou Art”.

Bearers were Leo Jay Rash, James King, Bradley King, Larry Ling, Karol King and Kenneth Clinkenbeard.

Interment was in the Little Sioux Cemetery at Little Sioux, Iowa, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
