Monty Wayne Mohn, son of Floyd and Jane (Stolley) Mohn, was born February 8, 1954 in Moorhead, Iowa. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 28, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 59.

Monty was raised on a farm near Moorhead. He attended East Monona School and graduated with the Class of 1972. Following high school, he started farming with his Dad. Monty was a lifelong farmer and in later years was a caregiver for his parents.

Monty enjoyed watching baseball; his dog, Sammy, and enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews. Monty was a people person.

Monty is survived by his two brothers and one sister: Harley Mohn and wife Karen of Dow City, IA, Mary Jane Rehnstrom and husband Craig of Alta, IA and Morris Mohn and wife Carol of Moorhead, IA; one niece; three nephews; one great nephew; one uncle, Alfred Mohn of Woodbine, IA; two aunts: Rachel Mohn and Carol Mohn both of Woodbine, IA; lifelong friend, Bob Thomsen of Sioux City, IA; other relatives and friends.
