MRS. RACY (LILLIAN) ZEDIKER

Lillian Zediker, daughter of Clark and Elizabeth Muckey, was born on April 14, 1892 in Mapleton, Iowa and died March 14, 1966 at the Battle Creek hospital following a long illness, at the age of 73 years and 11 months.

She was the oldest of ten children. She married Racy Zediker in Sioux City, Iowa, on January 21, 1913. They farmed in the Mapleton community until their retirement in 1960, at which time they moved into the town of Mapleton. Ten children were born to this union, six daughter and four sons.

Mrs. Zediker was a member of St. John's Methodist church of Mapleton.

Survivors include: the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Delberta Hatfield of San Carlos, Calif.; Mrs. Paul (Caryl) Smith of Castana; Mrs. Leonard (Shirley) Koenigs of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Chris (Harriett) Nielsen of Castana; three sons, Maurice, John and' James all of Mapleton; four sisters, Mrs. George Zediker of Mapleton; Mrs. Leslie Magnuson of Schaller; Mrs. Don Wiley of Denver, and Mrs. Louis Kremer of Everett, Wash.; five brothers, Lawrence Muckey of Mapleton; John and James Muckey of Terebone, Oregon; Clark Muckey of Anaheim, Calif.; and Paul Muckey of Everett, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one son and twin daughters.

Services were held Thursday, March 17, 1966 at 1:30 p. m. at St. John's Methodist church with
Rev. Leonard W. Rowse officiating. Pallbearers were: Albert Ketelsen, W. E. Miller, Lawrence Bray, Paul Kinney, Arnold Babbe, and Roy Reichard. Burial was in the Heisler cemetery under the direction of the Waiter funeral home.
