Perry O'Connor Dies Sunday Heart Attack Is Fatal To 84-Year Old Monona
County Resident

Funeral services were held here, Tuesday afternoon in St. John's Methodist church for Perry O'Connor, 84 year old resident of Monona County. Mr. O'Connor passed away following a heart attack Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H Chrisman.

Rev George A. Osborn pastor of the church conducted the services. Interment was in Heisler cemetery under direction of the Byers Fund al Home.

Pallbearer were Clarence Fritz and Veryl Lee of Ute, George Rollback of Griswold, Earl Rose and Joe Hayes of Mapleton and Alvin Fritz of Soldier.

Perry O'Connor was born to Thomas II and. Jane O'Connor on December 24, 1860, at Andrew, in Jackson County, Iowa. He lived there until he was 22 years of age, coming to Mapleton with his mother and other members of his family.

On February 17, 1887 he was united in marriage to Dora Ella Zediker of Mapleton. They farmed in the vicinity of Mapleton for a number of years and later moved to one of the W. H. Chrisman farms near Soldier where he has resided for over 40 years. Mrs. O'Connor preceded him in death and was buried on the date of their 50th wedding anniversary.

He is survived by three children, Alvin O'Connor of Soldier, Mrs. Idella Fritz of Ute and Mrs. Edna Rollback of Griswold, la., 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one niece, Mrs. Hazel Melton of Des Plaines, III., and one nephew, Raymond O'Connor, two grandsons are in the service overseas.
