J. N. Etchison, Dies Suddenly

Jasper N Etchison, who celebrated his 70th birthday, last Friday, died of a heart attack early Wednesday morning. He was a resident of Mapleton since 1893.

Funeral arrangements had not yet been made by press time Wednesday. The Byers Funeral Home will have charge of all arrangements.

Jasper N Etchison was born in Indiana March 10, 1880. He came to Mapleton at the age of 13 years and has made this his home since. In 1902 he was married to Edith Powell of Mapleton who died in 1945.

He is survived by two sons J.F. Etchison and C. C. Etchison, both of Mapleton and nine grandchildren. He is a member of the Christian church.
