Everett Clair Woodward, 45, of rural Castana, lowa died at his home on Wednesday, August 25, 1971.

The son of Russell and Blanche Woodward he was born on January 9, 1926 at Ticonic. He was married to Mary Nagel April 7, 1946 at Ticonic, was a farmer and lifelong resident of the area.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Michael (Sharon) Clayton of Austin, Texas, twins Karla and Kristi, and Helen Sue, all at home; four sons, Larry of Sioux City; Roger of rural Hornick; Harold and Bernard, both at home: his mother, Mrs. Blanche Woodward of rural Castana; six brothers, Melvin of Mapleton; Joe of Sioux City; Beers of rural Castana; Jerry of Wichita, Kansas, L y l e of Kiron, Iowa; and Donald of rural Castana; and one grandson.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 1971 at the United Methodist Church at Ticonic. Rev. John Schlosser officiated. Burial was at the Grant Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Francis Welte of Smithland, Ralph Davis, Ronald Maynard, Leslie Maynard, Doris Martin and Lawrence Martin, all of rural Castana.
