MAPLETON, Iowa -- Gary L. Weber, 61, of Mapleton died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Mapleton. Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton is handling arrangements.

Gary Leo Weber was born April 8, 1949, at Battle Creek, Iowa, the son of Leo and Helen (Uhl) Weber.

Survivors include his parents, Leo and Helen Weber of Mapleton; four sisters and one brother, Karen Weber of Le Mars, Iowa, Lynette Weber of Denver, Colo., Mark Weber and his wife, Laura, of Mapleton and their children, Beth, Paul, and Anne Weber, Patricia Gleason of Denver and her children, Bridget, Colin, and Mary Kate Gleason, and Laurie Weber of Mapleton.

Gary was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Anna Weber; and maternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Uhl.
