Ute, Iowa—Roger Adair, 74, of Ute died at his residence in Ute.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa with the Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Guthrie Center, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Edward Roger Adair was born Feb. 20, 1931, at Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Wayne Raymond and Bessie (Christiansen) Adair. He attended Paullina High School and graduated with the class of 1949. He then furthered his education by enrolling at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in mathematics. Roger served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
He later moved to Chicago, Ill., where he worked for several firms as an accountant. He retired to Ute in 1981.
Survivors include cousins.
