Memorial services for Edward L. Adkins, 47, of 3200 W. Ninth St. Waterloo, Iowa, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 1986 at Grace Lutheran Church.

He died of cancer Monday at his home.

He was born December 17, 1938, in Monona County, the son of Harold e. AND Bernadine Hedges Adkins. He married Sandra L, Lieb, November 17, 1979, in Waterloo.

Mr. Adkins was a design engineer for General Machine and Tool Co., at Waverly, at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chuck of Pasadena, California and Edward L. Jr. of Rockford, Illinois; a daughter, Pam Adkins of Rockford; his mother, Mrs. Bernadine Adkins of Onawa; a stepson, Christopher Lieb at home; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Lieb of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Kenneth of Little Sioux; and two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Hughes of Great Bend, Kans.; and Mrs. Shirley Dingman of Emporia, Kansas.

Locke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. There was no visitation. His body was donated to the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines.

Memorials may be made to the Cedar Valley Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
