SIOUX CITY -- Mary "Toni" Snodgrass, 69, of Whiting, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Skien Lutheran Church in Sloan, Iowa, with Pastor Craig Bock officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Mary Tonette Olson was born Feb. 26, 1941, to Elliott and Maxine (Hutchins) Olson in Onawa, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Sloan High School with the class of 1959.

Toni and Jerry Snodgrass were married in 1961 in Moville, Iowa. Toni spent her time as a homemaker raising their six children. She later worked at Marian Health Center as a cook for 15 years. She was a former member of Morningside Lutheran Church.

In her spare time she enjoyed dancing and reading and liked all kinds of music, cooking and baking. She enjoyed watching basketball (she played when she was younger) and would talk to anyone who would listen. Her children and family were the most important people in her life.

Toni is survived by her husband, Jerry of Sioux City; her mother, Maxine of Whiting; sons, Scott of Sioux City and Dan of Gainesville, Texas; daughters, Melissa and husband Greg Larson of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Amy and husband Rick Swenson of Sioux City; sons, Doug and wife Loree of Alta, Iowa, and Bob of Sioux City; grandchildren, Jeremy Maxfield, Ashley Snodgrass, Jillian Snodgrass, Michayla Snodgrass, Madalyn Larson, Elliott Swenson, Samantha Titus, Jeff Titus, Salena Titus and Lauren Larson; a great-grandchild, Justin Johnson; sisters, Becky and husband John Vermilyea of Hinton, Iowa, and Julie Casavant of Sioux City; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.
